On Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 3p.m. the Public Relations Student Society of America(PRSSA) will be hosting their first fundraiser of the semester. The PRSSA will be serving BBQ Sausage Plates, which will include, rice and beans. The V.B.-Que, which they named it, will be taking place in front of UTSA's Convocation Center where the UTSA Women's Volleyball team will be playing their I35 conference rivals, the Texas State Bobcats.
The PRSSA, in addition to selling sausage plates, will have $4 pre-sale tickets for the game. You can e-mail the PRSSA for more information on how you can reserve the pre-sale tickets. Guests will enjoy a free "Beat TX State" t-shirt giveaway, as well as, have a chance to take part in the Hit It -n- Win It contest, which will be taking place during the game's intermission.
Profits from the sausage plate and ticket sales will go to members of the PRSSA who plan on attend the national conference that will be taking place in Detroit, Michigan on October, 24 - 28, 2008. The PRSSA National Conference is a 5-day professional development and networking event where students and practitioners from across the country meet to discuss the field of public relations, new trends in the industry and skill building tactics. Attendees will discover new ways to improve their Chapters, define their leadership styles and prepare for the future.
